"The Portola hotel is really lovely and perfectly located close to Fisherman’s Wharf. There is a restaurant in the hotel and a wonderful Crepe’s shop steps away for easy breakfast. My family will stay here again in the future."

"You get what you paid for. The staff was fantastic! They answered a few questions and were very helpful. The hotel is older and it shows. The laundry area is sufficient, but know you can only do laundry between 9am-9pm and the washers need attention. The ice machine didn't work well. The room was good and the beds were good enough. The breezeways and garden area need some attention and had trash. We couldn't hear the people next to us, but heard more than one couple arguing in the parking lot in front of the their kids. "

"The hotel is a little older, and they've tried to update it, but its still slightly dated. The staff was super helpful when we checked in. They also have an amazing coffee machine in the lobby. You cannot beat the area as well. 15 min walk to the warf and 15 minutes walk to the aquarium. The best part is the park right down the street. We ate breakfast with the seals and sea lions! It was an amazing experience & i would for stay there again!"

"We loved our stay at Casa Munras! The room was spotless. The pool was well maintained and we enjoyed lounging poolside on the warm afternoon. The restaurant staff was fantastic and the food delicious! Quick walk to downtown sites (restaurants, sites, shopping, etc.) We will always stay here when visiting Monterey in the future!!"
