"Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. We ate breakfast two days at JoJo's which is situated in the same parking lot. The food was excellent, fresh and hot! There was plenty of parking if you're driving and the hotel is located in a perfect location. There's restaurants, shopping plaza's, fast food, gas stations, and they also have a casino in Fountaine Square. If I'm traveling again to North Chicago, Waukegan, IL area, I'll definitely stay here again! "

"We were never able to check in. We arrived at the motel at 6:30pm. No one was available to check us in. There was a sign posted outside the office saying that check in was only from 3 to 4pm. We lost the money we had paid for the room, and had to find another hotel to stay in. A drug addict who was staying in one of the rooms was wandering around in the parking lot. He scared my wife."

"I really wanted to like this place. It’s wrecked looking from the outside and there is no “Gurnee Motel” sign so I missed the turn. No problem, I thought. Chin up. The portico outside is closed off. There is scaffolding all around it but I don’t think it’s for construction. There was no evidence of work. I think it’s just gonna be that way forever.
