Everything you need, and nothing you don't. The rooms were very cosy even though it was freezing outside. This was a great little stay for our family of four. Only gripes would be the mattresses were old and tired so you could feel the springs and they bounced around a lot, and the wardrobe in the bedroom would be a lot more useful if it was replaced with shelves or a chest of drawers. Would recommend this place again though despite these things.

We spent three nights at the Lodge. It is an excellent base for exploring Tongariro. Our room was very comfortable and the lodge had a laundry and drying room. Breakfasts were very good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay. Ps. make sure you meet Lucky, a very friendly feline who befriended us 😻

We came to hike in the park and when we had a 100% rain and fog day, we were so happy to have such a comfortable home away from home for downtime. We stayed in one of the new cabins and it had everything we needed. The bonus was the resident cat Lucky who we met up with a few times during our stay. Thank you for providing such great acommodations in National Park Village.
