"Beautiful setting and Edouard and Alexandra were amazing hosts! They’ve recently refurbished their place to a very high standard and my wife even enjoyed a dip in the swimming pool. Situated right next to a gorgeous chateau, we couldn’t have asked for more for our first night of holiday. If we are travelling this way in the future we shall be sure to stay again."

"Personne n’était présent lors de notre arrivée.. les voisins ont eu pitié de nous et on décidé d’appeler l’hôte et de nous mettre à l’abris le temps qu’il arrive. Un fois arrivé un type nous a ouvert un crassier immonde qui ne ferme pas à clés… Nous avons décidé de rentrer chez nous plus tôt que de dormir dans des draps sales…"

"I stayed here for 4 nights and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. The room was basic but served it's purpose. Where the hotel really excelled was with it's abundant French breakfast of Juice,Croissant, jam, butter, bread and hot drinks. More than enough to prepare you for the day. The dinners were amazing. Served with courtesy and plentiful. Also a nice daily variation. I would certainly reccomend this place if you are looking for...

"We can fully recommend Charnay Plaisance! The main house is beautiful (some renovation work is ongoing but is unobtrusive); our room was very comfortable; breakfast was very good; the swimming pool was fantastic and the welcome we received (from reception staff and from the owner and his wife) was very warm and friendly. "The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel exterior doesn’t look very nice but inside is ok. We stopped over for a night during a road trip and was good. Parking is safe and at the back of the hotel. Only a short walk to the city centre which was lovely "
