"The hotel was overall okay, however there were a few disappointing issues during the stay. The bathrobes hanging on the door were worn and one unfortunately had faeces stains on it, which was very unpleasant.
Breakfast was also disappointing. I ordered an omelette which was forgotten and never arrived, and I requested pineapple juice twice before eventually receiving it. When it did arrive, the juice was pink because the juicer had not been cleaned properly and still contained watermelon from the previous customer.
I would also recommend improving the breakfast service by placing butter packets directly on the tables. Having to order juice and then wait up to 30 minutes for it was inconvenient — self-service juice jugs would work much better and make the experience smoother. Overall, the breakfast area felt quite chaotic at busy times."
The Fern Surya Resort Dharampur, Kasauli Hills, Series by Marriott
4/10 Poor
"NOT MONEYS WORTH !
Though the location is well accessible the hotel itself is in shabby condition, staff is mostly untrained. They have a namesake restaurant badly managed , breakfast is a hotch porch of things, menu not planned well. The menu itself was 2 printed papers in a folder. Half of the items were not available.
The room we occupied was touted to be the best with jacuzzi. Jacuzzi was not working, it was a patchwork , shabbily repaired at various places, the jets were cracked & broken.
The driveway was unkempt and very risky to drive or walk.
There were no security railings on various places posing a risk of fatal falls.
The stairs going down to restaurant were also broken and shabbily repaired & uneven posing a risk of falling down.
This hotel needs extensive remodelling, repairs and redecoration.
They were touting this hotel to be a
MARRIOTT property … surprising how Marriott gave their name !!

"The room we were put in was of sub standard. They charged us for third guest but did not have bed for the third guest. They were giving a 3” foam pc called mattress and asked us to put on the door and sleep, we rejected that. First night we 3 people tried to sleep on one bed which had mattress in bad condition, we could not sleep. I booked another hotel somewhere nearby and spent next night there only then we could all complete our sleep. I did not like all this and no one from Hotels.commas available to help us at that time. Question is this why hotel shared such pictures on your site which were not true. I am from Canada, do you people want us to sleep on floor? I will never use your portal for booking in future and advise others also for the same. Poor and misleading and misguiding portal, hotel, staff. They really need training, they are zero percent sympathetic and must not be acceptable in hospitality industry. "
"Just one word for service and the room amenities--- fantastic. If you really need a luxurious getaway then Oken is the place to go. The food was amazing and the breakfast buffet was too good. The staff was so great and courteous 😍😍. Worth the money.. ♥️♥️"
