"This motel was a great value for the location and beach access! The property is basic and simple, but clean and well kept. It's nearly impossible to keep sand out, but there was a broom in the room to handle the sand. The bed was a little squeaky, but comfortable. There is a walkway directly onto the beach with a hose to rinse your feet. The room directly facing the beach looked awesome. I would definitely stay here again for the location and affordable price!"

"The staff was very efficient and friendly. My partner and I stayed the weekend in one of the beach side rooms and it was very cozy. Location is solid as you are near many food options and a few minutes away from the Nags Head outlet."

"This was our first time in Nags Head! Surf Side hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in we had a great experience. We were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and her small welcome gift in the room was such a beautiful surprise!! The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs!! The elevator is slow and breakfast is okay but those were the only 2 things that could be improved in our eyes! Thanks for giving us a great stay. We look forward to coming back and visiting again!! Surf Side will definitely be our hotel!!"

"I dispise it when people want a Ritz-Carlton room for a Motel 6 price and then complain! This motel was a joy. It is the kind of motel my family used to stay in on trips in the 60's. It met my needs completely. It is very reasonably priced for a property on the beach, so it was very convienent for my daily fishing with my grandson. While it should be taken for granted, I will state the room was clean and odor free. The bed was firm, which is how I prefer them with lower back issues; other's opinions may vary. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and actually seemed to appreciate our business. I would not hestitate to book another stay in the future."
