"The area is picturesque with nice views of the mountains. There are two supermarkets and a petrol station close by. The interchange for the highway is 2 minutes away. There are a number of restaurants fairly close. The yakiniku restaurant gets booked up pretty quick so be sure to make a reservation. The former Sanada residence and military school are worth taking a look at too. They are just a couple of minutes away. Our check in was very late at 1 am but the front desk gentleman is very helpful, in providing where to park and is welcoming to my daughter and me. "Great location, just a short walk from Nagano Station and easy to find. It's on the same road that leads to Zenkoji Temple. For a two-night stay this met my expectations. Facilities were clean and tidy. I also had the chance to dine in at their Mash Cafe - it was a nice, cozy ambiance and the food and drinks were delicious. Staff both at check-in counter and cafe were very friendly. "
