"While the front lobby has a fresh look the pool area needs attention. Room seemed to be “remodeled” with outdated shower stall and Motel 6 shower head. Lack luster items available for purchase, minimal toiletries. Hotel was no where near the quality expected with a $364 nightly room rate. No matter the time of year, “busy season” or not, it is at maximum $220-250 a night quality. Considering the rate for the room June into July is only $196 average, that range seems appropriate for “busy season” as the hotel staff alluded too. "

"The main complaints about this property in previous reviews were traffic noise since right on main street. I didn't find that to be a problem at all as the HVAC system had a constant fan option that was great for creating enough white noise it wasn't noticed. (They also supplied ear plugs if needed) The motel was very well maintained for being older and very clean. Room was spacious. they had nice options such as a freezer in the office for cooler packs and towels specifically for cleaning items used on trails rather than having to provide own or mess up the bath towels. Obviously they have listened to guests over the years and responded with nice options. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Also had a travel companion that stayed at another hotel and happened to see my room. Decided right there he was staying at Bowen next time as it was much better maintained. Would stay there again."

"Complete nightmare!!! NO POOL, hotel is not the one in the picture. Complete false advertisement. Took my money I only had cash. When I realized the hotel was not what was shown in the photos on Expedia and I arrived very late so could not see the property clearly. They WOULD NOT refund any of my stay. Refused to help in any way. Run by foreigners that barely speak English. The roof is falling apart and the facility is filthy and stinks. Did not feel safe here."

"Loved the suite with the center wet bar. Very nice room. The hot tub was strange. Yes it's huge but there are jets on one side only and they are partially functional. It's more like sitting in a heated baby pool since it's attached to the main pool. Someone jumped into the main pool and it sent a wave of cold water over the divider onto my shoulders and back. Not very relaxing. Parking was also an issue as many people had trailers and cross parked taking up 4 or more parking spots. We ended up parking about a block away. The property is lovely overall."

"Very friendly staff, relaxing pool, comfortable room, albeit the bathroom was minute. The property is historic (with links to John Wayne) and the facilities reflect this. 10 minute walk to the Main St for restaurants. Ideal location for visiting Arches and Canyonlands."

"Its right in the middle of town! My puppy was able to stay!! Not many pet friendly hotels in this area. Very clean!! There is no complementary breakfast but they do have coffee in your room available. Parking is tight. The bed was very comfortable"
