"This has been our go-to hotel for 10 yrs plus. New management in the last few years. So glad the landscaping is being kept up, It could be even better. Some of the bougainvillea on the walls has died and not been replaced. Hard to do with such old plants. It takes time I know. Staff not as friendly as in years past. Fewer smiles. Breakfast was good, Except bacon way too thin. When there were sausage links they were excellent. One day the maid did the room, but did not bring us a clean set of towels, after removing the used set! We discovered it when we got to the hotel about 9 PM. But the Office could only give us pool towels, which are not as nice, and no shower mat or wash cloths. The desk clerk apologized, saying he could not leave the office, being the only one there. No one was in housekeeping until 8:30 AM. So I had to get dressed again & go pick up the towels. Not a great experience. I suggest the office staff keep two or three sets of complete towels & linens on hand. Also seems important to have more than one staff member available on-site 24 hours a day. Especially if there was some kind of emergency. The A/C worked really well, There was plenty of hot water. And my husband loved the in-room coffee so much that we ordered some from a hospitality supply place online. We will return to LH Lodge. Great location and we like that it is not a big concrete and glass box."

"Great view of the ocean. When we were checking in the staff lady did ask if we wanted to change our room for a better view, larger room and larger bed because she said our original room booked bed was small for two people. Honestly did not want to spend more money for just one night but other then that the room was really nice. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch."
