Snow-capped mountain scene
Around the monastery of Bigorski nature is breath taking
Holy place
The abandoned church of St. Nikolas, (which is half submerged during the winter season giving the impression of floating atop the waves)

We managed a Balkan trip this Summer, after quite a long time and North Macedonia definitely has charmed us. Despite we couldn't enjoy mountain trekking, there were so many other great places to see and try.
One of such places is John the Baptist Monastery or Jovan Bigorski Manastir in Macedonian which survived several fires and political regimes and works today as an interesting tourist attraction, then active, orthodox monastery and also as an accomodation for several workers who's task is another big reconstruction and extension of orthodox part.
