"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "Very beautiful and well maintained villas. Perfect location just off Ubud’s main street (4 minute walk) with plenty to do. Lots of good food and drink options. The villas felt very safe. The entire bottom floor is open air so be aware of potential bugs, however was not much of an issue for us. I would highly recommend staying here!"

"Had the absolute best time at Ayung Resort! The staff were absolutely amazing and we loved getting to go to tea time in the afternoon and hang by the beautiful pool. We had a driver, Rena, pick us up from the airport and he was the best tour guide ever —sweetest man ever and we spent the entire next day with him having him show us around the island! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!"
