"The room was as expected and clean. Upon check-in the place was locked and we had to call on a number for them to come and greet us. Other than that all was ok. It's May and the pool was not yet functioning and was empty, looked sad. The food in the their restaurant is very good, and good value for money. This is a family-run hotel and they were very welcoming."

Dalla reception, Cristina, Daniela e tutto il personale di sale, Salvatore è stato fantastico, come tutti gli altri che non ricordo il nome, scusate. Una bella piscina all'aperto. Il mangiare, dalla colazione alla cena, tutto buonissimo. Torneremo sicuramente se ci sarà la necessità di stare a Cala Gonone. " The location is beautiful and peaceful — exactly what we wanted — but the service is not at 4-star level. Staff are kind but clearly overstretched. We were charged €8/day for parking with no alternative, which should really be included. Breakfast starts only at 8AM with no early option, and no water or coffee machine in the rooms. The spa was advertised but was unavailable during our stay, with no prior notice. The pool bar opened only after 1PM. The biggest surprise was the coffee: machine coffee was poor, and my first cappuccino tasted of salty water (likely tap water). Though the waiter apologised and fixed it the next day, this is unacceptable in an Italian 4-star resort. Staff also had loud arguments near guests. Room cleaning was basic: towels were changed but sheets weren’t, and floors weren’t properly cleaned. The food menu is very limited and expensive. Worst of all, during checkout they tried to charge us more than double (including parking again and items we didn’t order). Only after I asked to check the bill was it corrected. Beautiful setting, but the service, transparency, and quality need major improvement"
