"Parking is a real issue. There is a parking garage for the same cost as the outside parking, but it can be hard to see. The free on street parking is very limited. In addition, there was a wood burning fireplace that spread smoke smell throughout our entire building from basement to 2nd floor. It actually made our room hazy and irritated our throats. The smoke was an issue for all three nights. The hotel is also a solid 15 minute drive to downtown Queenstown."

"I had a wonderful stay. I recevied a warm greeting and warm cookies on my arrival! The room was very nice with a good view of Lake Wakapitu. The bed was very comfortable and the walk-in shower was great! The daily housekeeping was excellent with plenty of clean towels (in Switzerland I had to practially beg for more towels and even one washcloth). The TV was easy to navigate with loads of local and cable channels. I highly recommend this hotel for an enjoyable stay in Queenstown."

"The room was more than adequate. The bathroom had been updated, but the comforter was outdated making the room appear “retro”. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub experience under the stars. It was quite lovely. We liked it so much we decided to go back to Wanaka at the end of our trip to have another day there. (Would recommend water taxi to the island called “Mou Waho” to see the island within the island."
