"We booked as we had stayed here before. Price was a factor as we only stating 1 night. Were on Driftwood Motel side vs Castles side which rooms aren't as flash. We stayed in unit 9 (access studio unit). Was basic setup. Suited us for the 1 night stay & price was relevant to room type. Setup like an apartment type vs typical Motel setup. Had key left under mat & had clear comms via text & app. As only onsite 10am-3pm (as per info on site). Enjoysble stay. Close to multiple fast food or restaurants & bars. Highly recommend Smugglers Restaurant & Bar & Sprig & Fern. Can just chill & see several bars/restaurants within ealking distance. Beach close by too."

"The room was clean and spacious the temperature was a good, particularly for sleeping in the comfortable bed. There was a heater had it been required. The kitchen was well appointed and the bathroom large, both user friendly. I was there for 2 nights and away at a Conference close by for most of the time. The unit was lovely to come back to, My thanks especially to the owner/manager, I accidentally left my phone behind and he went the extra distance to assist with management of this inconvenience."

"Room up on the hill was great. Clean with great views. There was some confusion about leaving luggage with the front desk before check in since we had a trip before check in time and despite me emailing them earlier and them agreeing to it but once that confusion was sorted, rest was fine. Had dinner (vegetarian options only) but it was good. Service was excellent. Breakfast options could be better. Free parking space outside room was good. There was a very loud concert nearby which was playing loud music till 2130 and started again at 0700 next day but not the fault of Kimi Ora and to be fait to them, they emailed us a couple of days before to warn us and so didn't have any time to change the booking but to be fair, it didn't bother us too much. The staff were very apologetic. Overall enjoyed out stay."

"We had a wonderful experience at the Barn. The cabin was well-kept, and very charming. The location was great, in the woods, and right by Abel Tasman. Bathrooms were clean, and staff were very helpful, even with our late check-in. Highly recommend!"
