"Nice spot if you wanna just chill on the beach. The house is pretty old, and not the cleanest place we've ever stayed. I had allergies to the dirty couch inside. But it's spacious, and has a fully stocked kitchen and laundry, which is nice. The location is also fairly out of the way. You definitely need a car if you're staying here. Grocery store, restaurants, aquarium, etc. are all a 10 min. drive away. I have no regrets staying here, but if we came back, we would choose somewhere else,...

"The room was really nice. We enjoyed the pool the weather was not favorable so we were not able to visit the beach. It was next to the hotel. The staff were really helpful and nice. We will stay here again."

"You can definitely feel that it’s an older property, but it was clean and everything works! It was conveniently right beside the aquarium and it was quite affordable so it was definitely worth the stay!"

"What an amazing place to stay! Close to AV so food was never a problem to get and close to tons of things to do! Beautiful hotel with great views! Staff were above and beyond AMAZING!!
The onsen and pool were our favs!!!
Def 10/10 place to stay! 10 Stars!!!"
"The hotel and location is great. Staff were very helpful. The rooms were not well maintained, somewhat dirty. I had to ask for a different room and pay for an upgrade to be comfortable. Restaurants are good. Pool was dirty."
"The hotel is nice with big room and good facilities. Staff friendly and helpful.
I didn't realize it would be full of families and their kids.
For this reason I would not recommend staying here. Breakfast and pool area was too busy and not peaceful."
"We stayed at Halekulani Okinawa for three nights and had a wonderful experience. The property is absolutely beautiful, impeccably maintained, and truly lives up to its five-star reputation.
One thing to note is that the spa was fully booked during our stay. Access to the natural hot springs is through the spa, so if you plan to use those facilities, I strongly recommend making reservations well in advance.
The resort offers four on-site restaurants, which provided excellent dining variety throughout our stay. The only drawback was that while most restaurants were able to accommodate a gluten sensitivity, the Japanese restaurant was unable to do so.
We visited in early June, and unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative. Based on our experience, I would suggest visiting later in June for a better chance of enjoying the outdoor amenities.
Overall, the property was outstanding, the service was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A true five-star resort that we would happily recommend."
"The hotel is very clean and has amazing views. We stayed in a suite on the club wing because it comes with extra perks. When we went to the infinity pool, we were told to use a different pool because the one we were trying to use is for club guests. Then they went on to give us directions on how to leave and get to the other pool. That was before asking us our room number to verify if we could use it.
Our first night we ate at the yakiniku restaurant inside the hotel. After finding hair in our food, we told the server and got an apology. Upon paying for the meal, they offered us 5 or 10 percent off for the issue. How generous! 😂 The next night we went to a different restaurant in the hotel, not by choice but because all the others were closed. We were told it was booked solid with reservations. Seems like if they were booked, the other restaurants would have remained open to facilitate the guests.
When you book a premium room, breakfast is included for free, however we were told at checkout we owed additional money because one of our kids is 4 years old. I found that odd since breakfast is free. They also charge by the number of people staying in your room which makes sense if they provide meals. In our case, I reserved the room for 6 people but 2 people couldn't come.I was unable to get any refund and had to pay for 6 people.
You would think spending so much money at a resort hotel we would have been treated a little better. I guess not. I do not recommend this hotel."
"This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my trip to Okinawa. The room was very spacious, and the breakfast (the Japanese style one) was amazing. It’s also only minutes away from the famous blue cave snorkeling pick-up spot. Wonderful experience. Would definitely stay here again if I revisit Onna."
"We were there during Typhoon Jangmi. The resort did a wonderful job of upkeep drumming the storm, and cleaning up after it. Good food. Good drink. Lovely facility."
