"We arrived to water on the floor in front of the fridge, which turns out was unplugged and defrosting. The afternoon manager was VERY HELPFUL but that’s the only positive. Ants on the table. Around 2:00 am the power went out {not the hotels fault I understand it was out for a few blocks.} The power was out for 3+ hours and being in a wheelchair/walker we were checked on by other guest because the hotel staff never came by to check on anyone! There was no shower curtain at all in the bathroom. Also there was no ashtray in this smoking room. My wife went to check out and was informed we would not get our $100 deposit back because they saw a red stain on the bedsheet and there were ashes on the other bedsheet, NOT BURNS ashes, in a smoking room with no ashtray provided. I then drove around to the front entrance and as my wife was getting my wheelchair out to help me get inside the staff member at the front entrance threw his hands up in disgust looking our way because we didn’t just leave I assume. I calmly talked to the desk clerk and told him that at some point during the 3 hours without power I’m sure ashes got on the bed with NO POWER, NO ASHTRAY and my wife’s lipstick fell out of her purse and did make a half dollar size mark on the sheet which WE pointed out to the cleaning person coming in as we were leaving. After talking with his supervisor I was told I would get my refund this time but to “take care of the sheets next time or they would keep it! Unacceptable!!"
"The bathroom was forty upon our arrival. I had to clean the toilet bc there was evidence of poop on the seat.
The guests night one were drunk and yelling and slamming doors until after 2am. I asked the front desk to intervene at 11pm after they woke my daughter up twice.
Nights two and three the power went off after midnight for HOURS which then woke us up repeatedly because of people in the hallway and doors being open and closed with no HVAC to buffer the noise.
We were there for college golf tournament and coaches there watching for recruiting so sleepless nights were detrimental to performance.
We will not stay there ever again."
"Super great staff. Very helpful. The room was very clean, but shows wear. This is an older building. Easy parking. Very safe. Breakfast was very carb oriented. Cereal, toast, muffin, pancakes. No protein. No alternative milk product - like oat or almond milk. Great coffee. The price was right for a stopover on the way home."
"The front desk is not manned early morning, 6:00 am. If checking out early, you just leave your keys. There is no body there to check you out. Continental breakfast starts at 7:00 am on the weekend. To me, that's an hour too late. Our day started at 6:00. We had to leave early and buy breakfast. No grab bar in the bathtub. To me, that is a safety concern. Road noise was horrible, which the hotel can do nothing about."
"It was okay for just spending the night. The beds were clean. Breakfast is good. It does not have an elevator so be ready to carry your luggage upstairs. It is hard to park. Our shower was dirty and towels had stains. Trash on the hall floor was there from Friday to Sunday. Road noise from I 85 is loud and we could hear people talking outside past midnight. Both ladies working the desk were kind and helpful."
"By far the most disgusting hotel room I have ever been in. The floor was sticky. Everything was dirty and it was supposed to be a non-smoking room but definitely wasn't. The room reeked of cigars. If you have any other choice DO NOT STAY HERE."
