The unique daily game drives had our Bush Bar (best bar in South Africa, thanks to Benjamin and Penwey) interrupted by a Nyala being chased by a wild dog. "The place is lovely and me and my lady enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the bed, it was not that comfortable, same goes to the pillows, they where big. Oh and board needs some attention because when you walk inside the tent your partner got to wake up because they squicky. But nevertheless I enjoyed it, even proposed and she said yes"

"This was such a great spot. The views and the grounds were beautiful. The room was very nicely decorated and comfotable. The staff were fantastic and quite accomodating to our child who is a fussy eater. The 3 course meals were very good. Zebra and wildebeest came into the gardens and the staff gave them feed so they would come closer. I would highly recommeded and hope to come back again."

"Your response is unacceptable. The Royal Hotel was closed for refurbishment at the time of my booking — a fact that should have been known to Hotels.com before confirming any reservations. It is embarrassing that such a booking was confirmed in the first place, and the stress caused is entirely due to your company’s failure to ensure the property was operational. I will be taking this matter up with my travel insurance provider and expect Hotels.com to review its internal processes to prevent this from happening to other customers."
