HFX Airport Hotel
8/10 Good
"Good for an airport hotel, as not far away and incl breakfast and shuttle, great bed and air con. The decor is ok, but hallways are quite dated and showing damage, and the shower water pressure reminded me to take my depression meds. Overall, I'd likely stay again."
Salmon River Country Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The property was to a good standard with a very good menu and drink selection. The location was good, overlooking the river and the property was good value for money."
Nalu Retreat & Nordic Spa
10/10 Excellent
"We found Nalu Retreat to be a true gem! The Dome was just like it appears in the photos. Everything was clean, clean, clean and tastefully done. As a former boutique hotel manager & chef I was impressed with the attention to detail. Comfortable leather sofa, extra throws, nature sounds, plenty of plugs, kitchen supplies, Robes, Turkish towels, goodies in the kitchenette, too many to mention. We were enthralled with the setting and enjoyed our time in the hot tub and the privacy surrounding us. We didn’t have the opportunity to use the fire pit but appreciated it being there of hope to get a chance next visit. We would love to go back and stay longer. The staff is responsive and friendly. Three things that might make for an even better stay. (1). The retreat sends you a video that you must watch to receive the WIFI instructions. I did not see that email until we were on Myra Road approaching the driveway and just then we lost cell service. (2.) You may lose cell service approaching the retreat. That made for a stressful hour or so…driving back in the opposite direction to find wifi/cell service to continue watching the video…then retrace our drive to find the dome. Maybe it could be sent to guests earlier? (3). The bed itself was not so great, a high end mattress would make a longer stay much more enjoyable and would fit well with all the other top notch amenities this lovely place has to offer. Book it! You will love it!"
Nalu Retreat Lakeside
10/10 Excellent
"Truly exceptional accommodations in a serene environment. I can’t wait to stay here again!"
