"More of a retreat than a hotel. Comfortable and clean tastefuly furnished rooms. The friendliest, kindest and most helpful hosts you could wish for. Direct access to the Canterbury to Rome pilgrims' trail which provides a pleasant 90 minute walk to San Gimingano. Superb views in all directions. Be prepared for a steep, winding unmade 3k road to the hotel on arrival. It seems never ending but well worth the effort."

"Truly remarkable experience in an 800 year old castle. The grounds are beautiful and include olive trees on the farm. Great views. Quaint experience with the owners who run the castle as a bed and breakfast. Our suite easily accommodated our family of five. We are grateful for the intimate breakfast the following morning.
