Hotel was ok, but the internet service was bad most of the time. Additionally, temperature control was not good, because I wasn't able to raise it during the stay. Personnel were friendly and very professional.
I loved this Hotel, the staff was very friendly and stay was great. Since the first time I stayed there I came back to stay at this hotel again for all
Their amenities that it included. I loved the valet parking that was part of the hotel cost, that we were able to roam the surrounding areas on foot. It’s in a great location and will definitely recommend this to all my friends and family.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times, which made the experience even better. The amenities were great and exactly as described. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Very affordable when you book with Expedia staff was awesome no need to drive anywhere every time we go out everything is close to walk very well recommended guys just do it you only live once.
The room was spotless and spacious. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The desk was very attentive—we needed a walk-in shower and our first room didn’t have one. They moved us within minutes. Great location—walking distance to the Macroplaza and museums. It’s an old, elegant hotel in the center of the Barrio Antiguo. I’ll happily go back.
1) the shower tub spout needs an update or repair. 2) the main entrance doors were locked with chains at midnight. 3) I didn't like that the front desk required the IDs of all the guests at check-in....

the only issue i had was that they didn’t have small towels to dry your hands
Hotel is nice friendly people, but you guys need to really fix the elevator. Elevator was the only big issue for me and for everyone that stayed at that hotel please fix it. You guys have a lot of people and only one elevator works.

Lights didn’t work properly. Couldn’t charge service to the room. Shower wasn’t clean at all.
The a/c in the room didn't work, one elevator was completely out of order and the other was broken but I'm service. It just randomly bounced around floors stopping at each one randomly. There were times we had to wait for almost 15 minutes for it to stop at the lobby to go up. The front desk didn't seem to care even through a crowd was there at all times.
There restaurant and bar both closed for New Years Eve and Day - at a hotel?

Room was ok and clean enough. The dribbling cold shower wasn’t ideal. (It was new years ever so perhaps everyone needed hot water at the same time. The tv turned on with remove, then batteries died so couldn’t change Chanel or even turn off without unplugging.
The elevator was incredibly slow and was always waiting for five minutes to get to my floor.
The valley parking was convenient.
Over… ok. Probably won’t return since a couple of the nearby hotels offer better service and newer rooms for less $$$
Have to say up front that one of the two elevators was out of order and the electricity went out twice during my stay -- and no-one on staff ever mentioned anything like 'oopsy' or even shrugging their shoulders.
Even so, the hotel was, overall, a pleasure. It's a historic property, and it is cool to walk out in the morning and see people taking pics of the place you're staying in.
The location is fantastic for tourists doing the tourist sites, and there are many other hotels immediately surrounding, but the Gran Ancira has a luxe lobby and revived upscale art deco bar that makes it stand out. Peaceful plaza right outside the front door, and the Macroplaza is one street over, including the Legorretta-designed contemporary art museum. Ten-minute walk gets you to the hip parts of the barrio antiguo (Morelos) and 15 minutes north gets you to the real family restaurants that the vecinos patronize. Or you can just go to the theme restaurants for tourists and the many many chain stores in the local shopping center. Your choice. Room on 5th floor had a lot of marble countertops, otherwise basic. Minifridge and coffeepot but no microwave. Beware that your room might have a step up to get into the bathroom, which will necessitate some tenering of cuidado or you will stub a toe or slip. Combine that step with wet marble and the lights going out unexpectedly and you're taking a bit of a chance. Bed was very comfortable. Window had a perfect view of skyscraper construction noise.
