"This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. "This is a beautiful small hotel with amazing views and friendly staff. It is situated very close to the main town (5 to 10 minute walk). The breakfast was good, with a modest selection of fresh foods and crepes made to order. The car park isn't cheap and operates via valet service (recommended as it is on a steep hill). The lunch restaurant was great - tasty pasta and refreshing drinks. The pool was warm and well maintained. We would recommend this stay."

"Nice hotel - but needed a bit of TLC and a lick of paint. It looks like a relic from the 1970s and could do with a facelift. The staff were great, really kind and helpful; they all helped with my basic Italian! The location is fantastic- close enough to walk to the action, but quiet enough to get away from the hustle and bustle if you want. Breakfast was lovely- I don’t think they opened for evening meals. But there are plenty of eateries within walking distance. A great base to explore the area."
