"This hotel was not the best that I’ve stayed at, it was a place to sleep and shower. The walls were very thin and I could hear my neighbors. The mini fridge did not work well and was very loud at night. The air conditioning was also kind of loud but that wasn’t too much of a bother. I also noticed some hairs in the bed sheets. There was also a HUGE spider in the room that my boyfriend had to kill. I would not stay here again. This was not what I expected for the price I paid"

"The stay was disappointing overall. The room had cobwebs and dust all over the walls, which made it feel poorly maintained. There was also no AC in the room, and this was not mentioned anywhere during booking. When we raised our concerns with the staff, they were not very helpful and came across as stubborn. Instead of addressing the issue properly, the response we got was basically, “This is an old hotel, around 100 years old, what do you expect?” That was quite unprofessional and disappointing."

"Hotel is not like what is showed on the website.. bedframe make noise… pillows and sheets look old.. you can hear noise from neighbor room .. hotel false adversities!!!! No parking.. park on the street and at your own risk… I feel cheat to pay for this price at this hotel.."

"Pros: Clean with comfortable beds. The rooms had flooring rather than carpet which is helpful for cleanliness. The bathroom has a small window that opens to the outside for great ventilation. Conveniently located to Monterey. Cons: This place is loud. There are busy roads all around it and the doors open to the parking lot so you can see/feel people running all over the place outside. The rooms don’t have blackout curtains and the outside is BRIGHT, which means inside the room is bright when you’re trying to sleep. Know before you go: bring a sleep mask and earbuds you can sleep in because earplugs are not enough."
