Hotel with beautiful view

The hotel is located on top of a mountain with a huge swimming pool and gorgeous view. A delicious breakfast buffet was included in the price. Our room was OK however nothing extraordinary, we were there for our honeymoon and expected a room with a front view which is nicer than the one we had. Also the bathrooms are a bit outdated. The minibar was also included in the price. Overall i would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very clean and relaxing hotel

Quite a modern styled hotel with stunning views. The food here is very good and the Spa is lovely. It was a little quiet when we stayed here but that meant we had the fabulous pool to ourselves. I would recommend staying here for a relaxing break.

L'hotel sorge in una posizione unica, conuigando la tradizione degli antichi casali toscani con i servizii più moderni. La cortesia ed in generale il livello di servizio sono ineccepibili. Ottima anche la SPA ed il servizio di ristorazione che si inserisce tra i migliori della zona. Sicuramente da provare nel periodo estivo per beneficiare delle piscine e jacuzzi esterne coem dei percorsi di Jogging tra le vigne.

Resort Poggio alla Sala Montepulciano

Posto bellissimo e comodo da raggiungere. Massima tranquillità, relax garantito, 3 piscine ok. Ottimo servizio bar della piscina, lettini, teli mare ok. Camera ottima. Colazione molto buona, il ristorante (toscano) in loco non eccelso ma buono, si trova di meglio fuori. Spa ottima.

Gorgeous stylish hotel in beautiful surroundings

We stayed here in May 2010 for 5 nights. The hotel was faultless in every way, from our arrival to departure. Francis, the concierge was superb- for example finding me a charger for my iphone, which I'd left at home. It was very quiet at the time, and the weather wasn't good, but it will be the hotel, its grounds and surrounding vinyards that will remain in our memories.

Ottimo per un weekend romantico! A cinque minuti di strada da Montepulciano, dalle terme di Chiaiano e da Chiusi. Un po' costosetto il centro benessere, ma personale, servizio e panorama eccezionale...

Bella struttura ma personale impreparato a risolvere i problemi

La struttura è nuova e molto bella, camere spaziose e pulite anche l'esterno è ben curato per non parlare delle belle piscine. Ma la struttura da sola non basta! In tre giorni di soggiorno abbiamo continuamente avuto problemi con l'impianto elettrico che saltava in continuazione lasciandoci senza luce, phon, condizionatore etc.Il personale non ha fatto altro che assicurarci la risoluzione del problema, senza riuscirci. Ci è stato proposto un cambio camera con una stanza chiaramente già utilizzata e non pulita. Questa situazione ci ha creato molti disagi. Attenzione non tutto è oro quello che luccica!

Fabulous Tuscan Experience

Poggio alla Sala is a wonderful place to spend some time in Tuscany. The rooms (we spent a week in a family room) are spacious and easily accommodate four people. The resort and grounds are very attractive and well kept and the views are spectacular. This is a very good location to go on day trips to Medieval towns, vineyards, Florence, etc. In addition, 3 pools and a spa ensure relaxation on off days. Food at the restaurants is very good and reasonable as is the wine list. Our only negative observation is that the resort still seems to be suffering from growing pains and services provided are somewhat inconsistent.

Nous avons passé une semaine fantastique. Hotel sur une colline,avec uniquement le bruit des cigales. Personnel très serviable. Trois piscines à disposition avec transats et serviettes fournis, une terrasse de jardin très agréable. Que du bonheur. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel.

volop genieten in het Toscaanse landschap!

Prachtig gelegen in de Toscaanse heuvels, zeer sfeervol hotel met aandacht voor de ambiance, binnen en buiten, met service gericht personeel, rustige (en weinig) andere hotelgasten, relaxte sfeer, heerlijk eten, keuze uit 2 restaurants (een goedkopere en duurdere variant), 3 zwembaden om verkoeling te zoeken. Er is een welness-centrum , maar daar werd niet-nauwelijks gebruik van gemaakt. Nadeel: vanuit het hotel kun je diverse uitstapjes maken, echter, het is al snel een uur of meer rijden (Siena, Firenze). In de zeer nabije omgeving zijn weinig andere leuke restaurants.

Beautiful Tuscan scenery

Beautiful estate, near montipulciano and Cortona. Hard to find however. Wish it were better managed...problems with our AC staff didn't handle that well. Three pools- though none were heated. Nice breakfast buffet. A place to get away from it all...not easily accessible as a base to get around. Lovely scenery.

We were on our honeymoon and were exremely disappointed.

The staff at this hotel couldn't have been more unhelpful, rude and disinterested. I emailed ahead and alerted them to our honeymoon and they couldn't even be bothered to smile never mind wish up a good stay etc. The hot tubs (of which there were many) were all empty. You had to pay to use the sauna/ steam room and all facilities. All menus in Italian and no attempt to help us with that so we ordered at taxi for Molteplulciano and they were going to charge us 80 Euros! There were only 2 other guests at the hotel and I think that was pretty telling, whilst the setting was beautiful we would never go back and to have given up 2 nights of our honemoon we were Very disappointed!!

Beautiful location and property

On finding this hotel, it was beautiful, we were allocated a huge room in the annex (out building) of the hotel. The scenery and buildings were outstanding, and the property sits within a vineyard. One comment we would make is that it appeared that the annex building is still being finished off. It lacked soft furnishings pictures etc... it was just a very bland room still. I guess that is why we got the room for such a good price. I would definately go back again in the future, the main building was beautifully done and the breakfast room ceiling was stunning!
