Truly the hidden gem in all of Tuscany! This is the elevated rustic, raw and real experience we dreamt of feeling in the countryside. Karin and her staff are truly magnificent humans and cared for us from the moment stepped foot on their luscious property. The food is all farm to table, vegetarian and each bite is a delight. We cannot wait to return!!

The most beautiful and soulful place I have ever stayed. Stunning in every way. Beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside and village of Montepulciano. Delicious organic food. And best of all Karin and her team are so kind and loving. It was an incredible experience. I highly recommend!

Calling all Vegans

I made a bad choice! I would not recommend this hotel/B&B for American seniors. No elevators no bell service, stairs to climb with your luggage, air conditioner large enough to do about 1/3 of the room. Thank God there were windows and a beautiful breeze at night. and the biggest part I missed in the description was that the hotel was vegan. Recommend Hotels.com maybe play that part up a little bit more.

Most amazing place ever

Es war ein unfassbar schöner Aufenthalt! Man muss so eine Art von Urlaub planen und z.B.: kein Meer vor der Tür haben wollen. Wir haben das Meer absolut nicht vermisst. Der Pool erfrischt genauso und der Ausblick auf die Landschaft ist einmalig. Zimmer: Die Zimmer sind groß genug und man hat viel Platz um seine Sachen zu verstauen. Das Bad ist sehr sauber und die Dusche ist ordentlich groß! Die Betten sind hart, aber wir hatten damit kein Problem. Die Zimmer sind hübsch dekoriert und es hat Charme. Personal: 1A Personal! Alle sind unfassbar freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben ein offenes Ohr. Ganz liebe Grüße an Lorenza und Anna. Man konnte unproblematisch Englisch sprechen und sich ganz einfach verständigen. Essen: Wir haben die Zimmer mit Frühstück gebucht und das ist qualitativ das Beste, was man bekommen kann, Selfmade joghurt und stets frische Früchte. Wenn man es herzhafter mag (Eier, Käse), dann muss man außerhalb frühstücken. Der Kaffee ist einfach ein Genuss!! Der Milchschaum ist luftig und der Kaffee schmeckt absolut abgerundet. Ort: Montepulciano ist ein gut erreichbarer Ort. Für die anderen Städte muss man aber rausfahren. Es gibt gute Weinproben und ein paar Restaurants. Uns haben in Montepulciano die Restaurants mit Pasta gefehlt. Die haben wir dann in Sinlunga, Montechiello, Pienza gefunden. In diesen 3 Städten sollte man auch eher Essengehen, da ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis einfach unschlagbar. Andere Städte sind zu weit weg.

Le lieu est joli, la décoration simple entre récup' et champêtre, mais plusieurs points sont à revoir : 1/ l'hôtel se veut veggie, mais le petit déjeuner propose pas mal de produits industriels gavés de sucre... 2/ le prix de notre chambre était un peu élevé par rapport à la simplicité de le chambre, avec peu de rangements, et pas de coffre fort 3/ le dîner n'était pas excellent, on a mangé lieu

Beautiful tuscanian country setting, the owner is incredibly friendly and maintains the property quite well. Breakfast with all organic food and wine was excellent. The nearby town Montepulciano is very charming. We stayed at San Martino on our way from Rome to Florence and we couldn't have been happier.

Really awesome place with spectacular views, rustic charm and a great fresh breakfast. The advice from the owner was really useful in planning our trips around the area. About a 20 minute walk up into Montepulciano. We spent a little extra on this one and it was the best place we stayed in our whole trip.

Charming, Rustic Hotel in Wine Country

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights as our home base to explore the wine country. The hotel is off the beaten path, very private, with beautiful views of the vineyards. Even so, it is walkable (.6 miles) to downtown Montipulciano. The owner is very hospitable and the rooms were rustic yet comfortable.

시골 농장에서 쉬면서 아주 편안했어요... 유기농 식사와 주변 포도밭 풍경과 매우 친절한 직원들과 아주 영리한 강아지까지.... 이번엔 아이가 아파서 오가닉 풀에서 놀지 못했지만 만약 다음에 가게 된다면 더 여유있게 쉬다 오고싶어요.

We absolutely loved everything about Fattoria San Martino. The location is stunning, the rooms beautiful and the owners super friendly. Make sure to have dinner in the restaurant – the vegetarian tasting menu was extraordinary. A really peaceful place and one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in!

Serenity just out of town with beautiful view

Beautiful home overlooking the valley and Montepulciano. Whilst it is a 15 mins walk into the town, the serenity of the villa, pool and gardens were perfect. It is completely different from mainstream hotels and personal touch made it very special.

If only there were more paces like this!

Fattoria San Martino is a gem. We stopped over on a short road trip through Italy, and it was by far the most memorable place - and we arranged only gorgeous spots, we were spoilt for choice in that sense. Needless to say it's a haven for children, the rolling hills, adorable dogs and horses, easygoing owners and plenty of sunshine. The room was lovingly fitted with handmade artwork in nooks and on walls, very, very thoughtful and tasteful. The dinner in the restaurant is a class of its own. Vegetarian, but as you haven't tasted it before. Even to the most adamant carnivore I can say you will be more than surprised and delighted. Absolutely wonderful. And the next day you wake up feeling better than you have in a long, long time. (Please, maybe one day Karin will put together a San Martino Cookbook? I hope you keep me on the top of the mailing list) Breakfast is equally glorious - my kids were over the moon to find (healthy) biscuits and home made jams. The place just oozes peacefulness. Wonderful team, extremely genuine and passionate owners and staff. We love San Martino and will recommend with pleasure.
