Hotels near Montara State Beach

"Great for Walkers. We paid a lot more than we usually do for a hotel, so our expectations were high as well. The location was perfect. The staff, decor and cleanliness made our stay enjoyable. We were surprised that we had to go through the underground parking lot or take a very circuitous route around the property to get from our room to the lobby, fitness center and restaurant. While the loft is airy and attractive, be prepared to go up and down a large staircase from the bed to the bathroom. "

"Let me start off by saying the room was nice. It was clean and nicely furnished. Parking was good. When we checked in the staff said the a/c or heater did not work and there was a fireplace that we could turn on for heat. We were not offered a discount or a chance to get our money back. The walls at this place are PAPER THIN! We heard everything the people were saying and doing in the next room. We will not be staying here again."

"If you enjoy a relaxing atmosphere this a great place to stay. The rooms are good size and have gas fireplaces. It's located a short distance from numerous restaurants and has a number of areas for walking up on the bluff above the ocean. The staff at this boutique B&B are so nice it makes you want to come back. We've stayed at the Seal Cove Inn numerous times and any time we travel to Half Moon Bay this is our destination. We highly recommend this establishment."

"Virtually no ocean view except from the front lobby, and that was obstructed. Sits right on a very busy highway. Very limited parking in the front with difficult in/out access. Staff communication, limited and uninformed. Lots of stairs to navigate even getting in the lobby and all rooms. Nearby properties are less than desirable environment. Spacious, clean room, but amenities more of a motel category. A number of lightbulbs out in the room, bed frame broken and pops loudly, and very large window overlooking the bed with no covering where people walking or driving by could see in, especially at night with lights on."

"The venue is very nice. Very clean and comfortable and this is my second time. Just need heating in the dining and living room area Otherwise I would still here again"
