Lovely hotel set in a quiet little town. Loved the art deco style, furniture and our large upgraded room. Staff were really friendly and professional. Only stayed one night but will definitely stay longer next time. Highly recommended!

Beautiful clean room with lovely mid century furniture. Extremely spacious and well appointed. The staff could not do enough. From carrying our luggage, setting the television to our liking or proving us with sparkling clean towels for the pool the surroundings are so peaceful, the patios are shaded havens of calm and serenity. The breakfast was lovely sitting under the shade of enormous trees accompanied by the happy chatter of birds

Wonderful stay, the room was very large and comfortable. Great terrace and bar area to relax. Restaurant was excellent both for dinner and the included breakfast. Loved the art deco theme and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definately be back.

Unser Zimmer war mit alten Möbeln bestückt, dunkel . Kaum Platz um seine Koffer abzustellen. Der Pool war nicht einladend , voller Blätter. Das Frühstück normal und lieblos. Wir würden das Hotel nicht empfehlen und eher in ein kleines Gästehaus gehen. Die Lage mitten im Ort war gut, fussläufig zu den Restaurants.

Teleurstelling in Montagu

Het hotel oogt van buiten erg mooi en straalt statigheid uit. Maar binnen is het ouderwets en erg gedateerd. De kamer was redelijk maar de badkamer was erg vies met schimmel, lekkende kranen en een doorlopende toilet. Het ontbijt was erg beperkt en zag er niet uitnodigend uit. Het is duidelijk geen 4sterren waard wel is het hard toe aan een renovatie en upgrade. Hotel ligt midden in een doods stadje waar weinig te beleven is. Kortom het is het geen aanrader om daar te verblijven

Wonderful and a real haven

Being at the Montagu Country Hotel is a delight. It is like stepping into a special world. The garden is beautiful, we had a lovely room, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. Our car was safely parked behind a gate. We have been to this hotel many times and it is great to see it being updated while always retaining its charm.
