My wife and I recommend staying here. It was exactly what we needed for our trip. We want to come back and stay longer next time and take advantage of all the hiking opportunities.
Fantastic place to stay and relax. Hiking trails are all local and well maintained. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Patio, pool and sauna are an ideal after a long day on the trails. Highly recommend this facility.
Good spot for hiking and relaxing. The Gite offers a nice breakfast buffet and good options for dinner. In the afternoon you can relax by the pool or on the terrace after exploring the area. Some hiking trails start directly from the Gite.
Nice room and excellent food. Easy access to hiking trails. Beautiful area to stay a few days. We were there during an unexpected heat wave and the pool wasn’t open yet. That would have made it even better.
Missing a shower wand (only had a fixed shower head), which was odd considering they had an anti-slip bath mat, coffee maker, and even a boot dryer in the closet. Super comfy bed (deluxe room) and quiet room. Ask the staff before taking any of the side roads through the park - Google Maps lies.
We were the last rental for the season so there was no one else around. We had plenty of firewood and the kitchen had everything we needed to make our own meals...especially since there were no restaurants open!
Unique location in beautiful forested park, with many hiking choices. Very good dining room meal. Very spacious room with modern bathroom fixtures and large screen TV. Some noise heard from room above us, but not during sleeping hours.
Love the location and the services. A bit pricey, as expected. The deceiving point was the location of the room, directly in front of the pool full with children until cloaure (around 7 PM). I would expect a room with 1 queen bed not to be only on the first floor.
The only thing missing was there was no ability to purchase drinks and or snacks outside of the three meal period. Plus, you were locked into a $25 Canadian dollar buffet breakfast even if you only wanted a simple pastry. But the location was wonderful and the facilities were as well.
This is an overpriced, pretentious establishment. You are 30 minutes away from the nearest town so your only dining options, if you're not fortunate enough to be camping, are a bistro and formal restaurant. There is very little difference between the menus of the two restaurants other than price and service. You will either be ignored or stared at throughout your meal, depending on which restaurant you've chosen. The breakfast buffet is $26CA per person and it's the only option for your morning meal. I can't say if it's worth it because we opted to have light snacks and coffee the morning we hiked, then we left for an excellent breakfast at a bakery in Ste Anne Des Monts the following day. A national park serving hikers and outdoors people should offer more options, especially in the morning. We have hiked, skied and camped at multiple Sepaq parks and they have all been excellent. I wish we could say the same for our first experience at one of their hotels.
This is a fantastic location and facility. The staff are polite, helpful and welcoming and most are bilingual. The location in the mountains and provincial park provides spectacular views and easy access to the numerous trails and sights. The patio and swimming pool provide a welcome facility after a hike in the mountains and the many short trails around the Gite allow for an after dinner wander or morning stroll.
The buffet breakfast is exceptional, don’t miss the smoked salmon, and sets the hiker or fisherman up for a day of activity.
Everything about this gite is well thought out and in very good condition. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area. We even saw a male moose in the hotel grounds as we wandered back to our accommodation after dining in the restaurant. What a memorable stay.
