"We had a wonderful stay, welcomed by a sweet lady named Ana who gave us tea and coffee and made us feel right at home. The room was excellent except it never felt like the air conditioning was working properly. And the beds were a bit small for international visitors! Breakfast was hot, filling, and delicious. With home-made jams! Very special and memorable experience."

"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."

"An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville.
