"Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu. It's about 7 min walk from the Seibu-Chichibu station, and 20 min walk to the Chichibu Shrine.The guesthouse was very clean, the amenities were excellent, and the owner was extremely accommodating and friendly! 2 of us in the group do not eat meat, and there was just NO vegan option at any restaurant, which was very sad, but you can find few (double check the ingredients) at the convenient stores (e.g. 7eleven, family...

Many shrines are also in the area and all are easy to walk to. Nipponia is an INCREDIBLE place to stay with every aspect exceeding my expectations. "A very thoughtful set up and breakfast is way better than how they advertised it. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Free shuttle to Kawaguchigo station but only 20 min walk if you want to do it. A 7 min walk to a grocery stores which open kind of late at 9am. Not too many restaurants around so plan accordingly. "
