The property had a shooting in the pool area. A person waved a gun at the attendees at the pool then shot himself in the pool. When we asked front desk if it was safe after it happened they provided 0 information. Traumatic for so many. We also found a cockroach within the hotel picture below. No parking if you wanted to go to the other pools.

We stayed 5 nights in the one bedroom suite at the Bay Club Sandestin Resort and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. The living room, kitchen and bedroom spacious. very clean and a nice view of the Bay. I would stay there again.

Comfortable Stay

The area was quaint and very nice. The condo was undergoing some renovations so not all floors were accessible. With older buildings comes older smells but overall it was a pretty decent stay. The staff was excellent and very accommodating!
