The property is currently under a complete renovation by new owners. The only service available is an original room in upgraded condition. Pool closed, hot tub closed, restaurant closed and pub closed. Lobby is also in disarray due to renovations. Staff very apologetic and understanding of wanting to cancel and willing to refund prepaid Expedia room fees however unable to do so. Unable to reach Expedia. We are completely disappointed as we brought our 12 year old Grandson especially to enjoy the pool as well we were looking forward to not having to leave the premises for restaurants and pub. I particularly was looking forward to relaxing in hot tub and a swim with my grandson. We travelled from Canada and my grandson missed two days of school so we cancelled. I tried through Expedia to get a refund but was unable to reach them. As well we went to a different property so paid again for a room with a pool. I have put in a dispute to my credit card for being mislead by Expedia website that did not warn of there current Status of The Grand Hotel. So far we’re dissatisfied and have not received a credit. :( Very displeased to say the least.
