"Very eclectic; the owner takes care of this hostel as he is there everyday with his family and pets. It's your basic hostel- bring your amenities especially insect repellant. Water pressure can be erratic at times, but this is island living so its expected. Great food and great staff. Service can be really slow- avoid if it looks busy. "

"For a hostel it is a good choice, although we were there during off season and it was incredibly noisy. I can only imagine it during peak season. The reception staff were friendly and helpful but the cleaners and security guy were noisy at all hours. The onsite restaurant was awful, we had one meal and never ate there again. Thankfully the hostel is in a perfect location, on the most beautiful beach with lots of nice places to eat and drink nearby."

"You won't find a more unique, beautiful, thoughtful, artistic place in all of Coron!! Every part of Outpost was beautiful. The restaurant was absolutely delicious and I really liked their tap card that you can use during your stay. I booked a private room, which was very clean and tidy. The mattress was very, very firm which is suitable for those who like a firm mattress but unfortunately for myself it was extremely uncomfortable. It's their down season so maybe that's why there is so much...

"This is a great spot for meeting fellow travelers and organizing tours from. Like others have said, definitely a party hostel with free drinks from 7-11 pm. The private room bed we had was pretty hard, so a little rough sleep. Breakfast and coffee included in your stay. There are quite a few restaurants nearby or its an easy ride into El Nido town proper. "
