"This hotel exceeded every expectation I had. First of all, the property itself is beautiful. We enjoyed learning about the history of the property and how they kept certain architectural aspects of the bank. Our room was stunning, with elegant design choices and vaulted ceilings. It is right in the heart of downtown Roanoke, which put us within walking distance from plenty of restaurants and local shops, and a 20 minute drive from the mountains. All of that being said, what sets this hotel apart from other luxury hotels is the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, making sure we felt welcomed and cared for. Thank you to Deja and Johnie for taking such good care of us during our stay. I can't recommended this hotel enough and we can't wait to return. "

"This hotel is right in the middle of town. Very easy to walk to many restaurants, and shops. The parking is just across the street in a multilevel garage. The staff were very gracious, accommodating, and polite. The rooms are spacious and nicely updated. The only thing to note is that it can get noisy at night due to being so centrally located, and if you are in rooms next to the elevator, you will hear the elevator all night long. The staff did provide me with earplugs, and that helped a lot. "

"Looked recently refurbished. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Many useful accessories e.g. iron, hairdryer, makeup cloth etc. Good location. 10 or so mins from downtown. Area felt safe. Very helpful and friendly front desk staff. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Roanoke. "

"Very nice clean room, room service was excellent. Really needs to keep the coffeeshop open later then Noon. Even at a conference people want speciality coffee"

"Stay was fine. Breakfast area only had one waffle maker with all these people trying to make waffles. This hotel should at least have 2 waffle makers."

"The Econo Lodge is exceptionally convenient to I-581 and the Berglund Center which is directly across the road. Staff was friendly and the room was nice and clean. They offer a continental breakfast but this property is a no-frills type of accommodation. Still, the location, price point, and convenience make it a great choice when in the downtown Roanoke area. Will certainly stay again."
