Family Reunion

We had a couple small issues and the staff took care of it in a timely manner. The motel is a bit older and the air conditioner is loud. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had great pressure. This place was worth the price, but it’s a simple motel without many frills.

I always enjoy my stays here. Friendly check-in staff. Fairly quiet property except for occasional passing trains. Thankfullly they don't sound the horns late at night. West facing rooms provide great view of the sunset! Breakfast isn't bad; waffles, cold cereal, English muffins, toast, muffins, orange juice, yogurt. Plenty to get your day started. Lots of parking right out front. All in all, an inexpensive but very nice place for an overnight.

We tried to check in. Repeated use of the "intercom" eventually brought a kid to the desk. And he promptly disappeared without a word. He finally came back and said the manager was at "Lewis." I told him I didn't know what that meant. When would he be back? He didn't know. The manager finally showed up and had problems finding our reservation in the system. "Oh, here it is. You check out tomorrow morning." No. I reserved two nights. The rooms were mostly find for a Super 8. The light switch in one of the two rooms didn't work. The plugged in lights did at least work. There was a patched hole in the wall where the entry door handle had broken through the sheet rock. The patch was bashed in too. But, we were there just to sleep. The beds were fine. The room was fine. It was dated, but it was clean. And again, we got a decent night's sleep. The breakfast was better than one Super 8 only offering "honeybuns" and juice and coffee. But the only hot food was a waffle maker. But, we were there just to sleep, so what was there was sufficient.

We booked this very late and got the last room. Very dates facility and the staff worker wasn't too friendly. Didn't tell us where the room was, and it was in the basement. Room was very large for the price and fairly clean. Door was broken tho, furniture shabby.
