"The room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed.
The shower wasn't great due to water pressure being too low.
There was a supermarket opposite the hotel, however had to walk for 10-15 minutes to find restaurants.
It would have been great if the receptionist would have advised us of the hotel shuttle bus when we asked about taxi. The info was only provided by a different receptionist at checkout.

"The place is lovely and well located in Milazzo, the room and bathroom are spacious, and the hosts so kind, sharing good advise ! We can only recommend this place :) "
"Very accommodating. Stefano allowed early check-in and he was so kind to drive us to the Milazzo train station. The place is easy to find and Stefano is easy to contact by phone or WhatsApp. Kitchen is stocked with treats, coffee, tea, milk, bread, jams. He has a beautiful patio. Under a lemon tree and he allowed us to take some lemons home. The place is very clean and comfortable. Would love to come back and enjoy the beautiful beach right in front of the house."
"We did a one night stop driving in and parking is at a premium on the street. Very high quality as new condition place with some English but not much.
Be carefully when booking the rooms they have 4 and it looked like some are shared bathroom ,the one we had appeared private but could be accessed from the shared breakfast area . Happy to stay again as long as we are fit enough to climb stairs off the street to the rooms."

Hotel Donna Rosa
10/10 Excellent
"1) Donna Rosa is a clean and well operated hotel that offers excellent value in a great location. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent!
2) The beach is very nice with clear waters and only five minutes walk from the hotel front door.
3) The hotel is less than fifteen minutes from Savoca, where the Godfather movie was filmed. There are lots of very picturesque vista points in Savoca.
4) The hotel owner and manager, Coralie, went out of her way to answer our questions and provided valuable tips to make our exploration of the area enjoyable."
"This is our third time at Mari del Sud in the past six years, and unfortunately, we’ve noticed it’s slowly declining. It’s a pity, because the resort has such great potential, so close to the sea and the beautiful Sabbie Nere beach and head a beautiful swimming pool.
One major downside is the lack of a transfer service from the harbor to the hotel. We had the service during previous stays, and most hotels and resorts on the island of Vulcano still offer it. Although the receptionist said the hotel is walkable, I wouldn’t recommend it if you're traveling with elderly people, as I was. We ended up having to call a taxi for both directions, which cost €15 each way.
Breakfast is good and the staff do their best, but the number of waiters is insufficient for the volume of guests. The swimming pool opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m., so if you're an early riser or looking to unwind after an excursion, it’s disappointing to find the pool closed.
Housekeeping cleans the rooms daily, which is appreciated, though again the limited number of staff means your room might be serviced late in the day, often when you're back for a siesta. I really hope Mari del Sud will go back being the resort everybody used to love."
"Comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Well located for ferry port and train station, with tram to both for the less energetic. I checked in late Sunday afternoon which meant reception was not staffed, but intercom provided all information to get in and access key card. Very comfortable bed and perfect pillows. Shower was small, but then I'm quite large! Water temperature regulation was very sensitive. Overall a good stop over"
"I tried to reached to them a week before my travel to get some information about the transport options to the hotel nobody responded i was already heading towards the hotel when i received an email in italian with useless information. On the day of arrival at reception they told me most of the facilities are closed including the restaurant none of this was mentioned while i made the bookings. The lady at the reception on 23rd around 13:30 while speaking to me in between exchanged words in her language with her staff member and both laughed and passed weird expressions which is very unprofessional and insulting to do to your guests. We went into the room noticed even the basic things are not in the room for a 4 star hotel. Only 2 water bottles in the fridge no kettle no tea bags no iron, Broken cupboards, Ants in the balcony, broken hair dryer, noisy Bed We asked them for extra towels 3 times finally had to get down and ask for 4 time. The AC was blowing air not cooling the room due to this my 1 year old got unwell and had temperature. I requested to make the AC work nothing changed. We went to speak at the reception and when we mentioned our baby is unwell they laughed at us at this moment we realised its a very unsafe place to stay.extremely rude and unprofessional staff worst hotel experience of my life.I had to leave the hotel and make another booking at a different place."
"We booked a stay in the junior suite (with jacuzzi), planning to stay in Milazzo for only two nights. But we loved the easy access to a clean beach, the super comfy canopy bed, the well functioning AC, the pleasant staff and good breakfast mix of sweet and savory (tilting in typical Italian fashion to the sweet). On the second day, we realized just how relaxed we felt at this hotel, so we decided to stay an extra two nights! It was well worth it. I came back from Italy feeling totally relaxed and restored."
