"Such an amazing place to stay. Located in a quiet area, but with very easy access to other areas. The hospitality we were shown was incredible. We have stayed in 8 hotels during our time in Sri Lanka, and this one is by far, our favourite. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, this place is a must stay."

"The guest house looked very nice and on the second floor was the breakfast tables but we had our room on the ground floor and the room was very dark and the bathroom was old. There was not a lamp near the bed so you could not read in the evening. The host family was very friendly and we used e.g. the washing service."

As others have said, the TV is at the head of the bed so we did as they did and reversed our bedding. "We stayed a night in September 2025 at the Happy Banana Hotel in Galle (Unawatuna), Sri Lanka. Due to plumbing works, water supply was off for a while. However, the living was homely, night music and people’s crowd was entertaining, and breakfast at the beach was astounding."

" it was surprise to me when I reached the hotel and had to leave it since it is nothing like the mis leading deceiving pictures where the hotel was extremely dirty, deserted, the bed with pee stains, hygiene zero and 3 guys managing it who has zero hygiene and didn’t look like they are running the place which was quite creepy.
