"We stayed at the Frangipani Tree for 9 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful even before we arrived, helping to book a car from the airport. It is a two hour drive form the airport but the roads are very good and there is lots to look at on the way. On arrival you can relax with a drink and admire the scenery. "Had high expectations after reading the other reviews and spending almost $1K for two nights here but was disappointed overall. The beach access was nice and the highlight of our stay. Staff was a bit slow and not very helpful and food was ridiculously expensive and nothing special. There are other cheaper options nearby which are worth a look."

"The property is located in a well kept garden next to a small but beautiful beach. Rooms are well kept and relaxing. The staff are fantastic and always willing to accommodate requests. Food was excellent, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfast. The menu has increased and has a great selection of Western and Asian dishes but is quite expensive."
