"The hotel was run down and in need of a remake. But it’s poorly built from the start, the painting had not been done under the curtains and the general finish was as if they had run out of money before the building works completion. "Great place. Historic building dating back several hundred years, very tastefully now a Parador. Everything was immaculate, staff were great. Excellent wine @4 euro per glass. Breakfast was amazing. Cava, fruit, breads meats, cheeses, cakes, pastries, cooked options etc etc. Dinner was equally good. Definitely one to come back to."

"Excellent hotel and although I would've expected a more "standardised" room, i.e boring furniture, I was very pleasantly surprised. "A lovely family run hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was adequate for an overnight stay. There was a beautiful small beach across the road. We found there were not many dining options around, but we did eat at the cafeteria on the beach which served great food. The breakfast was ok and was served by the owners at your table."

"We ended up with an 80 Euro parking fine because the staff didn't have enough sense to tell us how the parking lot in back of the hotel worked (what the rules were). For the sake of having parked 12 minutes "early" before 6 PM on Friday night, we ended up with an 80 Euro fine even though we moved our car by 9 AM and leave on Saturday, as we were instructed to do. Hotels should either provide guest parking, or else clearly instruct guests as to the necessary procedures."

"Beautiful room with east and south windows. Very, very good price. View of ancient church and tiny town, hillside, cows. There is a big wind that came up each night. Dogs bark, starting at sunset, and go until 11 pm, when they stop. View of Bay of Biscay from breakfast room. Good breakfast."
