"On the surface this property is set on lovely grounds but take a look closer and the service could be far better for the price we paid.
we got to the spa for 10:30am one morning and the umbrellas were not up, sun beds didn’t have their mattress laid until after 11am. There isn’t poolside service for drinks.
I had booked two rooms as I had my parents stay as well, we were visiting for an onsite welding. The second room didn’t have shower-gel topped up on entering and the safe was not...

"The rooms themselves were great and the breakfast was delicious. However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. I think the shared space is a great idea, but it has to be drastically improved to reflect...

"We have had an amazing stay at Lythwood Lodge, staying in a self catering unit for my birthday celebrations.
What an amazing time was had by all, the unit was beautiful, clean and had everything you would need for a weekend away. The special treat was the turndown service every night making it so special walking in from dinner to warm rooms and bathrooms and a little treat on the dining table!
Breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing and so well worth it. The dinner menu is changed daily...
