Hotel Melfarhus - Your modern self-service hotel in Middelfart, Denmark
10/10 Excellent
"This is a hotel that requires you to use an app on your phone to open that gate that allows you into the parking lot. This is the only place we had some difficulty, because I had run out of data on my eSIM, which I bought before we left for the trip from Canada.
Luckily, my wife still had some data on her phone, so we got in. Once close to the hotel, I could use the free WiFi and the app to open the doors.
The only staff we ever saw was the breakfast staff, who were very nice. The breakfast was perhaps the best part of the hotel! The variety and quality of the food was excellent!
The hotel was clean throughout.
There are a couple of restaurants within 5 minute walking distance. We just tried the Moon Cafe and it was excellent in terms of food quality and service.
I'd go there again. I'd just make sure I have lots of data on my eSIM."
"For a couples getaway, this was a perfect spot. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, nature and shore. We dined at the restaurant which was small, but food was excellent and prices reasonable. Breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely return."
"Very friendly staff.
The location is perfect for nature lovers and those wanting a quiet escape. It is a 20 minute walk from Middelfart and 30 minute walk from Middelfart train station, which is a bit of a way but doable and worth it.
From the hotel we saw porpoises deer and a variety of birds. Superb views of the little belt and the two bridges from breakfast and dinner."
