"Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel appearance looked good. Our bedroom and bathroom was clean and tidy buy very dated. Needs a fresh coat of paint and a shower cubicle instead of a shower over the bath it’s not safe for elderly people. There were toiletries to use. It would be economical to have a hand soap dispenser instead of a bar of soap. But we had an enjoyable stay."
"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "
