I took a solo trip to CDMX and as a female traveler I felt extremely safe in this area. It is very walkable, near metro, bars and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and my experience was great. It is important to download Whatsapp as that is the way of communicating with staff. Room was great, clean and spacious. At night it does get loud as there are bars near by & traffic in the AM. Can't wait to revisit.

This property is nothing like they described it; this is a place without any carbon monoxide alarm which can be extremely dangerous with recent tragedies of people passing away in their sleep because of carbon monoxide poisoning. If you care about your personal safety, you can either avoid this place or bring your own alarm to prevent unnecessary tragedy while on vacation. Now, to be honest the area is great and quiet with a lot of restaurants around and nice boutiques/cafe and museums. The hotel is very small more like a house turned into hotel type. We had a 3 nights but left after the first day and abandoned the other 2 nights for our sleep safety. We haven’t got a refunds but better be safe than sorry.

Central by a lot of noise

Nice hotel. Central and good location. I quickly realised that the ear plugs provided in the room is not a service but a necessity. I was in a room just upstairs from the ground floor restaurant, and the music meant that it was close to impossible to sleep.

My fiancé and I came here for a quick weekend, and we will definitely be back. Fernanda, the main hostess, was incredibly accommodating and our room was beautiful and clean. Although in a busy area with lots of restaurants and bars, we never felt like it was too noisy in the room. We felt safe walking, biking, and using the bus around town. Highly recommend!

Nice room, great location, lacking hotel amenities

Location is top notch in Roma Norte. Room is good, with great bed and great shower also. Quite loud in the room on a Saturday night, but once the restaurant below closed at midnight it quickly quietened down, and absolutely no noise (other than standard road noise) on Sunday. Worth noting the hotel does not have a proper reception - the reception is a desk next to the restaurant Babero, and the hotel shares its lift with the public going up to Margot. No problems with this for us but it means there is not always a concierge to speak to, at night there is only a security guard.

A Perfect Stay at Hotel Durango 219!

We had an amazing experience at Hotel Durango 219 in Mexico City. This boutique hotel is a true gem—beautifully designed, incredibly chic, and offering top-notch service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything effortless. Whether it was a request or just general assistance, they were always friendly, accommodating, and quick to help—no hassle, just seamless service. The hotel itself is in a fantastic, trendy neighborhood that feels very safe and is conveniently close to many attractions, making it an ideal location for exploring the city. Our room was modern, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day out. It has 2 restaurants on location and the restaurant downtown stairs, Babero is a 5 star restaurant. It has amazing food & great service! If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with a great atmosphere, outstanding service, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend Hotel Durango 219. I would absolutely stay here again!

We loved staying here! Located close to many restaurants, cafes, and bars. Easy to get anywhere in CDMX via Uber. Beautiful tree lined street, taco stands close by. Highly rated cafe across the street. Room was clean, comfortable bed, and they accommodated a late night check in. Daily cleaning. Balcony was a bonus. Would stay here again.

Nancy was a great host and responded to all our questions in a timely manner. The area is convenient and walkable with many famous restaurants and convenience stores nearby. There were mosquitoes in our room every night so be careful and it does get loud on the weekends due to a popular restaurant being on the first floor. Overall, we would stay here again!

Our stay at Durango 219 was perfect! The location is incredibly convenient and safe, and having two on-site restaurants with good food and service was a major plus. The room was clean and well-equipped with comfy beds and good air conditioning. I also loved having a private balcony! The staff was very helpful and communicative. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone visiting Mexico City.

General thoughts

Overall good experience. As others point out you will not have solitude and quiet here. The corner is bustling and busy especially Friday and Saturday. There is loud music from competing businesses. The room is comfortable: has a little Nespresso machine and 2 pods replaced daily. A pitcher of clean water is also provided. Room is serviced daily. The sliding balcony door did not lock. The mechanism is broken. We used the room safe constantly.
