"No modern electronics (USB) ports. Breakfast was not available until 8 AM. When we arrived at dining area at 0805, which was tiny for 26 rooms and about five family cabins, we were informed that we were a bit early. Coffee was not made and nothing had been put out yet. This doesn't make it convenient for travelers who are trying to get the most out of each day. When we returned to our room the code to open the door did not work. "Great little spot. Room was nice backing up to the river with a small porch. Right in town. I’d recommend. My one issue is I saw the place was dog friendly. I booked a room. I did not realize that that particular was NOT dog friendly. I went back and looked, as I am usually good at this stuff and was still unclear. I recommend checking with the property to make sure the room is dog friendly. They were great and accommodated me, but it could have been an issue."

"This is a no frills stay, didnt pay much, didnt expect much. There was no staff on property at anytime that I saw. There was a sign that the office was closed and a number to call if needed. They are either going through a renovation or the property is just a mess. The fridge in my room didnt work, nor did the microwave. The beds were comfortable enough, but the pillows really sucked. Sure, I'd stay here again because its cheap and everything in Winthrop is way over priced."

"Attentive staff, beautiful location. Perfect for a romantic getaway and as a base camp for roadcycling adventures. Vegetarian dining options were limited (only one vegetarian main) but there are multiple restaurants within a short driving distance that offer variety for vegetarian guests staying more than one night."
