"We had an amazing stay at the Strater Hotel! The hotel is very historic and is so nice.The staff was incredibly helpful. We scheduled some time in the hot tub which was lovely! It is right in downtown Durango, so walking to restaurants, bars and shopping is easy from the hotel. Highly recommend a stay at the Strater!"

"Each room has a mini split AC but we didn’t need it when the low around 40. Every room also has a ceiling room which is really nice when traveling Many restaurants are within walking distance. We ate at the Italian restaurant that was right down stairs - it was great!! Chandler was so wonderful!! Helped us carrying our bags to our second floor room in the annex by the train (there is no elevator for those rooms) We loved staying at the General Palmer "
