Lovely attentive staff. Unloaded luggage at the rear of the hotel and with help of great directions parked across the river in the secure underground parking at the Thermal Baths. Easy 5 minute walk back to the hotel lobby. Great spot!!

Location excellent. Parking inconvenient. When we arrived, a very polite young male member of staff was extremely helpful. Reception was very cold. We also found a older waiter called Ukh very rude, because of this we decided not to eat at hotel. Big shower head was reported as not working,,but was not fixed.

It was wonderful. The location is perfect for exploring the town. Terrific terrace for breakfast or relaxing and watching life on the boulevard. From the reception over wait staff to the owners, everyone was extremely attentive, friendly, polite and helpful. The town has a wonderful Mediterranean flair. Great food, great shopping.

Great stay. Interesting arrival as you need to pull in behind the hotel in an alley to unload and check in. They have a porter for your luggage and very nice staff. Breakfast was more than ample. Staff was amazing and location cannot be beat. Parking is easy, just across the river in the Therm parking under the street. Room was more than average size and clean

Merano is a gorgeous mountain town. Aurora is right across the street from a famous thermal spa. The hotel has a helpful staff. Like so many places in Italy, it’s on a pedestrian street but they have an arrangement with a nearby parking garage and the parking just goes on your room charges.

Balcony is a must

Great location, but make sure when booking that you make a reservation for a room with a balcony. Otherwise, you’ll be looking out to a narrow side alley - definitely not very appealing.

Great…and not so great.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the flowers everywhere are beautiful. We had a lovely terrace outside our room covered in plants. The food at the restaurant and the service are both excellent. Two issues: the building is super old and it shows (dirt in the corners of, well, everything) and the outside of the place could use a refresh. Our main issue was our room - it was really big and was not originally built with a washroom in it - so they had added this super modern, glass space which would be ok but it had stripes of privacy frosting on the glass like the kind I have on our boardroom at work - you can still see basically everything. Fine if you know your travel companion really well, but still a bit awkward.

Fantastic - From Start to Finish!

If arriving by car, check Google maps for the lane behind the hotel where you drop off your luggage and reception then provides a map for parking. From check in to check out, service was exemplary. Not sure how check in would be with a car however reception made sure it was easy. Check out was just as easy retrieving the car, and then loading it at the back door. The room we booked was a classic double with balcony. It was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked well and the wi fi signal was strong. Slept well, hotel is quiet and the room was quiet. Breakfast was a very nice buffet with plenty of variety. Fresh fruit cocktail, fresh pineapple, melon and 'freshly' squeezed orange juice!! Pastries were delicious - chocolate pain - fantastic. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, meats, cheeses, cereal, etc. All fantastic. What a well managed hotel, and a great team of employees! Nice job Aurora Hotel.

Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend! Das Zimmer war für mich als Businessreisender ungeeignt. Keine Tischsitzgelegenheit um mit Notebook zu arbeiten. Leider wat auch im Bad der Abfalleimer vom Vorgänger nicht geleert worden. Das Bad hatte eine Badewanne mit Whirlpool, doch zum Duschen keinen Spritzschutz

Frühstück & Lage top - Zimmer flop

Lage: top Frühstück: top Zustand der Zimmer, insbesondere das teurere "Design-Zimmer": mehr als Flop !! War uns schleierhaft, wo die 4**** herkommen sollen - evtl. war das mal 1982 so - 2025 ist der Preis dafür aber sicher nicht gerechtfertigt (siehe Foto anbei) Soweit wurde uns dann aber anstandslos ein anderes Zimmer angeboten - aber Zimmer, Korridor, etc. ist definitiv in die Jahre gekommen und hätte für eine 4-Sternebewertung dringend eine Auffrischung nötig !
