"This place was beautiful! It was very private, which is exactly what we were looking for. I loved the view and of course the private hot tub. The beds were comfortable."

"The ocean view was awesome. However we have stayed at a few luxury hotels in the area with these views and this room left us wanting a bit. The tub was a plastic cheaper type tub that moved if you sat on the edge. The spout was flopping around in the floor and we ended up not using it at all. It all seemed cheap. And honestly we were worried about it being full of water and falling through the floor.
There was considerable dry rot on the staircase and it didn’t seem exactly safe. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was good as well. The curtains were hard to slide and close as well as bleached at the bottom. The small bathroom closet was small and there is no exhaust fan.
The vinyl flooring felt sort of cheap and creaked every time you stepped on it. If this was a $300 a night room I may have felt better about it, but at $550 nightly we will not be staying here again.
One of our favorite things about the room was the free hot chocolate and that’s a pretty low bar. Hotels.com said they had breakfast free every morning but when we got there there was a note that the breakfast had been stopped like two days earlier so we didn’t even get to try the thing that enticed us in the first place.
Another positive was the grounds. It is a beautiful property and the little garden in the middle is amazing.

"The hotel is nicely situated near the harbor and we had a room that overlooked the harbor. Unfortunately, our room was a downgrade from a kitchenette due to the hotel not having ADA access to the upstairs and my wife being unable to negotiate stairs because of a knee issue. Every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. We would probably stay there again, but speak directly with the hotel staff to make sure we were getting the room we prefer."
"Beautiful property, absolutely mesmerizing views. However, the shower is extremely small and uncomfortable and all restaurants close at 7pm. There’s also very poor cell service and no tv in the rooms."
"Always a lovely, peaceful, and serene farm-like experience here. Comfortable, dreamy beds, breakfast at your door, and beautiful garden and old-growth plantings. Convenient location for restaurants and sights along a breath-taking coastline."
"Beautiful room with plenty of space. Easy access to visit Mendocino Headlands. The bed was very comfortable and the location of this room felt private. Quiet and relaxing."
"Pictures online very deceptive. This is a very old hotel. The description of a balcony is quite generous. I had a sliding door onto a concrete pad with a fence separating you from a loud bunch of machinery. Definitely not a place you would want to hang out"
