The Beachcomber

The Beachcomber

8/10 Good
"There were some pros and cons to this location. First of all, the location itself is nice because you're right on the beach and have access to chairs, etc. I have to say the best part of the entire place was the staff, hands down! Everyone we interacted with was incredibly nice and helpful and made you feel welcome. Best employees ever! The room was nice. It wasn't anything special, but it was decent. The beds weren't the most comfortable and the bathroom was a little run down, but it wasn't dirty or anything. Just for the price you're paying, you're mostly paying for being at the beach. Don't expect luxury accommodations. As for the cons, I have to say the parking is horrendous! If you have a small car, bring that. The parking lot is very limited with tiny spaces. There is parking down the sides of the building, but there's no way to turn around if you drive down and find there's nowhere to park. The parking alley is extremely narrow, and backing all the way back up was a task best left for very skilled drivers. We found one spot to park and it was not big enough for our Nissan Frontier. We had no choice. So the parking was the worst. Second of all, there wasn't any view. Our listing said we had a courtyard view, and the courtyard had spots that were nice with plantings and a water fountain, but we had a view of construction. I understand there was major damage from the hurricane and this is construction to repair that damage, however it was not much to look at."
