We read all of the comments before booking. We didn’t expect the pool to be open. We knew the elevators were broken. We adjusted our expectations before we arrived and were very grateful to have a clean room, very friendly and helpful staff and be in the best location for a quick Uber to The Peabody Hotel, The Bass Pro Shop and Beale Street. If you’re looking for a 5 Star Hotel this isn’t the one for you. If you’re looking for a comfortable bed and a hot shower at a fantastic price in a perfect location to enjoy some cool nearby attractions this is the place to stay.
The bedding was dirty. I asked the staff for clean sheets and pillow cases specifically. He did offer another room and it was just as dirty. The floor hadn’t been swept. The curtains were dry rotted, the air conditioning was good. To top it off, I fell down the stairs in the stair well. The paint that’s on the stairs is not the proper paint for floors. Trash and debris everywhere. Your online pictures do not match your rooms.
We booked a smoking room for one night when we got there and checked and put us in a room on the 3rd floor. I was told the elevators didn’t work my mother in-law can not walk very well and had to climb stairs to get to the room. We got to the room you had to give the door a hard push to get it open. The room itself was in need of updating not to mention the roaches crawling on the walls and tables for a smoking room there’s no ashtrays in the room I whet back down to get one and was given styrofoam cups to use. Even though it was a pass-through room on our way home, I would not recommend staying there on the other hand. The staff was decent.
Did NOT STAY!!!Pay attention to reviews- location has been turned into an economy apartment rental and by the hour -- should NOT be on hotels.com. To each his own, strong marijuana in lobby. stained bedding, chairs... verifying refund. Check in rep very accomodating....
THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL IVE EVER SLEPT IN! Dirty sheets, roaches, staff completely disrespectful. I reported the condition of the bed and waited almost an hour for the front desk attendant to BRING ME MORE DIRTY SHEETS THAT I HAD TO PUT ON THE BED MYSELF! THE JACUZZI TUB DIDNT FUNCTION AND I PAID ADDITIONAL FEES FOR THIS AMENITY!!!! DO NOT BOOK HERE EXPEDIA WILL NOT REFUND YOU AND HOTEL WILL IGNORE ALL COMMUNICATION ATTEMPTS!!!!!! I will be taking this to civil court. Expedia and this property will be held accountable.
After a long road trip, I decided to stay at this hotel based on the photos on their website; however, the actual condition of the rooms and the hotel bears no resemblance to those photos—the building looks like it could collapse at any moment. The hallways are filthy, and the rooms weren't thoroughly clean. Even for just a single night during a road trip, I wouldn't recommend it!
Everything was full of trash no pool no elevators working no hot water outside the rooms is very dusty and dirty lots of people in the hallways smoking drunks and drinking it looks creepy and insecure the hotel needs a little hand in maintenance definitely
pool was empty, trash everywhere, staff and other guests agree that it's not a nice place, but the room was clean and cooled. With all the other places to stay, I would not stay there again.
They are advertising what looks like a decent place to stay its not we reserved a non smoking room got there not only was this on the bad side of town but our room smelled like smoke sheets had burn marks and stains as well as the blanket complete trash hotel. guy in the office tried to give us another room it was not much better and had a dead cockroach on the floor crack house for sure.
This place was a dump, the walls in the room had mold as well as the bathroom. It was supposed to be a smoke free room but the sheets had cigarette burns. Smelled horrible. We didn't stay there, we ended up getting another place for the night.
The receptionist lady is very kind and helpful. Coffee was made as promised. All ice machines were broken except for the one on the 5th floor. I had to ask about the whereabouts of the one that worked.
