"Good hotel not too far from the City. We chose it to visit KC during the World Cup as there was special transport just down the road into the heart of KC but I suspect you would need to drive during other times. The breakfast was decent and varied but the breakfast room did struggle to cope when busy even with the overflow room but as I say we were there during World Cup so it was busy. The surrounding area is quiet and safe. Worked for us"

"We chose Hampton Inn Kansas City Southeast because of good reviews and the location , which was very convenient for a family visit. The hotel facilities are very nice and clean, the room was relatively quiet, although we heard some noise from traffic, given that our room was roadside. Asking for a room on opposite side would likely fix this. Upon room entry we noticed a faint smell of paint, that was a little disturbing during our first night but subsided the next day. Overall the room was very clean, with brand new bathroom, very comfy beds,, fridge and microwave. Nice hot shower and well cooling air conditioning. There was a great variety of hot and cold breakfast options , the supply of which never ran out , and really friendly and helpful staff! We also enjoyed the well equipped fitness room and pool !"

"This is a wonderful hotel chain. I have stayed at the Drury in Wichita and had a great experience there. This time was the Drury in Overland Park. The staff at the front desk were fantastic and easy to talk with. We unexpectedly were upgraded to a King suite with the separate bedroom from the living space which was a nice surprise. The only thing with our stay that was a little off was the AC worked fine in the living space but the bedroom unit never kicked on and it got a little stuffy overnight, even with the door between the rooms being left open for air flow. It may have been designed that way when thermostats were added instead of the two individual wall units per room for efficiency reasons. The breakfast was good with a variety of options. Please add hot chocolate packets to the coffee and tea station as well as liquid creamer! They really want you to watch portion sizes with the cold cereal as they basically gave you salsa holders for bowls. Overall it was a great stay and will be on our list of good places to stay in the KC area!"
