This avenue in Hollywood is one of the most famous shopping and entertainment strips in Los Angeles with a range of stores, restaurants and clubs.

Melrose Avenue is a popular shopping street in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. This long avenue is home to famous stores, restaurants and bars. Browse the eclectic range of boutiques, stocking everything from luxury accessories to antique furniture. The motion picture studio Paramount Pictures is also located here.

Browse the charming shops in the Melrose District. Each store has its own unique appearance and ambiance. Spend hours window-shopping as you stroll past multi-colored store façades. The street is constantly changing, so you will have the opportunity to try a brand new shop or restaurant. You can also find bargains at closing sales.

Stop for an organic juice at the juice bar or find a café and sit down to some fresh sushi or a vegetarian burger by the tree-lined sidewalk and try to spot famous faces in the crowds.

Enjoy a hilarious evening at one of the comedy clubs on the strip. Watch a performance at a Melrose Avenue theater. Take a tour of Paramount Studios and visit the sets of your favorite television shows.

Visit the Melrose Heights area towards the western end of the avenue. You will find exclusive designers in this part of the avenue, including Fred Segal and Vivienne Westwood. Find quaint antique shops in Melrose Place. Browse galleries and furniture stores in the adjoining La Cienega Boulevard.

The avenue became famous in the 1980s and was known for its alternative and independent retailers. It played an important role in the development of Southern California’s punk culture. Now, it is home to more high-end and traditional stores.

The neighborhood has featured in several television series, including Melrose Place and Entourage.

Melrose Avenue runs across Hollywood and is about a 20-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles. It is easily accessible by public transport, including buses and subway services. Nearby attractions include the affluent Beverly Hills region, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and the Hollywood Recreation Center.
