spotless rooms, enthusiastic, cheerful and attentive staff, and incredbily beautiful surroundings made this a memorable get away.
I recently stayed at Barahi Jungle Lodge for a much too short two nights stay and the only regret I have is not staying there longer. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed, appreciated and taken care of by the phenomenal staff. Without a doubt, the resort puts the guests first and they all go out of their ways to make everyone feel welcome.
The room was spotlessly clean and kept in excellent condition. The resort as a whole is beautifully designed and the on site restaurant served meals of great quality. There is a pool and a huge outdoors area for lounging in the sun.
The location is rather remote, on the bank of a river separating the resort from Chitwan NP. The rooms are separate huts along the river with lovely views of the greenery, the river and the jungle. No other facilities such as restaurants or shops are nearby but the resort offers everything one could possibly ask for to ensure a comfortable stay.
Upon arrival I was personally greeted by my own naturalist Gobinda who did a fantastic job looking after me and making sure to make the most of my stay. Gobinda was extremely available and helpful and made a terrrific job of making my stay comfortable and interesting, by planning safaris or other activities. He even took me out by foot for an up close encounter with rhinos which was an unforgettable experience.
The resort is all in all very well run and make every guest feel well taken care of and special. Warm thanks Barahi and warm thanks Gobinda!
The Barahi jungle Lodge is a beautiful place, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxury in Chitwan! A few highlights:
-Their commitment to sustainability is exceptional. For example, most of the food is grown on site, and they've effectively done away with single use plastic
- The service!! This is old school hospitality. Anything you need at all, someone is ready to help. They surprised us with a complimentary bush dinner one evening (such a cool experience, would recommend) because, as the general manager said, "we deserved it"
My only suggestion for anyone travelling here is that you absolutely need to arrange for activities. While the hotel amenities are beautiful, you'll find yourself with little to do but relax by the pool unless you book a safari, yoga, the spa or a village visit. Do it all - it's well worth it!
Decent spot. Great management. Not sure if this property should qualify as a 5 star. Overpriced. Check all your options around the area before booking.
Un vrai havre de paix, le personnel aux petits soins, plusieurs activités possibles. Je me suis sentie comme dans un nuage dans leur lit, la salle de bain et leurs produits étaient très bien !
Je recommande à 100%
What amazing place!!! Everything was perfect!!! The service is excellent!!! I love the safaris (boat safari was the best) and our naturalist krishna is a charismatic and friendly person!!! I will never forget this experience!!! Thanks Barahi!!!
Barahi Jungle is a place like no other
Decor is in line with the jungle vibe, feels like you’re staying at Fred Flintstone’s house but with a luxury twist. The room is clean and tidy with hot water & a huge bath tub, no problems here. Private balcony has a fantastic view - managed to spot a deer! Food is decent with a good choice for lunch and dinner. We had a buffet at breakfast and one night for dinner, which was also good. We ate outside in the evenings and the setting was beautiful. The service is over and above what you would expect, incredibly attentive from the moment you get there. We booked a jeep safari and a 10km jungle walk - it’s pricey as you would expect (around £450 in totally for two people going privately with a guide for each activity) but it was worth it - we got to see rhinos, crocodiles, deer, monkeys etc & incredible nature! You’ll also get to go to a presentation about Chitwan National Park or watch performances from the nearby Tharu tribe at 7pm every night. The hotel can also arrange a 3 course private dinner in a wooded area under the stars for our last night - 250 lanterns, candles, fire pit - the works, it was simply stunning and unforgettable. I’d highly recommend!!
Barahi Jungle Lodge far exceeded my expectations! The view is spectacular, the food was fresh and healthy, the staff was accommodating and warm. We saw over 20 rhino on one game drive. Very relaxing place, full of lush, green nature. Will definitely come back.
